French Press - home coffee preparation

History of the French Press
The French Press originated in France around 1850, when a simple piston filter was first used. However, the first patent was obtained by Italians Attilio Calimani and Giulio Moneta in 1929. They gradually refined the design, and from the 1950s, thanks to the Bodum brand, it became an icon of home coffee preparation. Thanks to its simplicity and rich flavor extraction, it remains a popular method to this day.

Method:
- Pour hot water over the ground coffee in a French press and mix thoroughly.
- Let stand for approximately 4 minutes. You can stir once more during this time.
- Then press the ground coffee down using the plunger and serve.
