El Mesón - the heart of Huila

Colombia is famous for its exceptional coffee - thanks to the ideal growing conditions, the hard work of the farmers and the unique microclimate created by the three Andes mountains. It is here that some of the finest and most complex coffees in the world are produced.

One of the most famous areas is Huila - a region with fertile soil, high altitude and a perfect climate. In the town of Acevedo there is the El Mesón farm, run with care and expertise by Luz Divia Fierro. At an altitude of 1600-1800 metres above sea level, he grows and processes fine coffee.
