La Bohème Café: A June Filled with People, Coffee, and Shared Experiences

Jul 02, 2026Yara Kwolek

June at La Bohème Café was a reminder that coffee is, above all, about connection. From celebrating together above the rooftops of Prague to exceptional cupping sessions, the month was filled with moments that brought people together through shared ideas and a passion for coffee.

A Team That Grows Together

Behind every cup of coffee are the people who make it possible. That's why, in June, we took the time to pause and celebrate everything we create together. Our annual summer rooftop gathering gave us the opportunity to relax, share experiences, and enjoy meaningful conversations away from the pace of everyday work.

It was an evening of great food, beautiful views, and, most importantly, a reminder that La Bohème Café is built by people who bring their energy, expertise, and passion to their work every single day.

When Coffee Becomes Part of a Bigger Conversation

One of the highlights of June was the meeting between our founder, Charles Fleer, and the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel. For us, this was a meaningful reminder that a business built on quality, strong relationships, and responsibility can play a role in important conversations that shape our society.

We believe that the world of coffee has its place in discussions about sustainability, international cooperation, and the future of business.

Fair Trade as a Journey, Not a Destination

In June, Maria, our Key Account Manager, and Chu from our Quality Control team - who also earned an impressive fourth place in a cupping competition - attended the Fairtrade Specialty Coffee Dialogue. The event brought together coffee producers, cooperative representatives, and experts from across the coffee value chain to discuss topics including sustainability, coffee quality, Fair Trade, new European regulations, and the future of coffee production in a changing climate.

Events like these remind us that every coffee has a story rooted in the people and communities behind it. The future of specialty coffee depends not only on what's in the cup, but also on long-term partnerships, responsible sourcing, and collaboration throughout the entire supply chain.

Summer News in the World of Specialty Coffee

June brought two new coffees to our lineup. We introduced Summertime, a seasonal blend designed for warm days, as well as an exceptional Cup of Excellence Peru – Dwight Aguilar #5, one of the highest-scoring Peruvian coffees of the year.

Both new releases share a commitment to outstanding quality, distinctive flavor profiles, and the stories of the people behind them.

Tasting One of Peru’s Finest Coffees

The highlight of June was a public cupping session, during which we welcomed wholesale partners and specialty coffee enthusiasts to our showroom. Together, we tasted, discussed, and shared experiences that make the coffee community so unique.

It is precisely these kinds of gatherings that we value most - they are not just about coffee itself, but about people, new discoveries, and a shared passion for specialty coffee.

Moving Forward Together

Looking back on June, we see a month filled with meetings, inspiration, and shared experiences. Whether it was a celebration with our team, important discussions about the future of business, conversations around Fair Trade, or sharing an exceptional coffee from Peru, all of these moments were connected by one idea:

Coffee is never just a beverage. It is a story of people, relationships, and moments that bring us together.
